God Bless My Child With Peace

While our children were growing up, we fed them, clothed them, disciplined them, and made sure they were safe. We nursed them when they were sick, played with them, raised their dog, and we went to church together. We taught them principles from the Word of God and strove to model these principles on a daily basis to provide a balanced happy life.

Behind all the hands-on activity was, and still is, prayer. All effort in bringing up a young man or woman of God is not complete without conversing with their Creator. He knows them better than we do and loves them more than we are able.

Today pray for Peace for your child, that they will walk in peace all of their life and follow the principles of creating peace in their midst.

God Bless My Child With Peace
Lord, let the peace of God which passes all understanding guard my child’s heart and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Paul said, “He Himself is our peace” (Ephesians 2:14). With Christ in us, peace should be our sovereign guide. Grant my child this understanding.

From his early years may he sense this present calm in his life. As he gives himself to You, may the reality of Your promise overshadow any doubt the adversary may lay in his path.

Your presence is assurance of a good night’s rest and assurance of complete joy.

Through his years, my child will encounter many adversities; adversities at school, work, in relationships, finances, even church. During times of conflict remind him that You will never leave him or forsake him (Hebrews 13:5). Remind him that You are constant and a permanent resident in his life.

You are victorious over all. You are above all nations--nations of people and nations of emotion.

Give increase to Your children whom You have entrusted to me. I will open my mouth and declare the goodness of God. You are mightier than those who come against us proclaiming themselves stronger than our Majestic Creator. Giver of Peace, reign in us.

In the Name of Jesus---Amen
